"We very much enjoyed working with Christine. She's professional, responsive and showed great attention to detail. She produced a design that was spot on first time, and secured planning permission despite a difficult committee."

We’ve had a fantastic experience working with Christine on the complete redesign of our home. From the outset, Christine really understood what we were trying to achieve and has been brilliant at translating our ideas into a thoughtful and beautifully considered design. She has a great eye for detail and has helped us turn a very ambitious and evolving brief into a scheme that feels cohesive, considered and genuinely exciting. One of the things we’ve appreciated most is just how collaborative and accommodating Christine has been throughout the process. Inevitably with a project of this scale, our ideas have evolved over time and there have been points where we’ve pivoted, reconsidered elements or wanted to explore a different direction. Christine has always been incredibly receptive and patient, working through those changes with us and helping us develop the design rather than ever making us feel constrained by where we had started. It has made the whole process feel genuinely collaborative. She also successfully guided us through the planning process and secured permission for a scheme that we’re genuinely thrilled with. Beyond her talent as an architect, Christine is simply a pleasure to work with — thoughtful, approachable, patient and clearly invested in getting the best possible result for her clients. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Christine and Sheldon Peever Studio, and we’re incredibly excited to see the project come to life.Posted on Google![]()

Sheldon Peever Studio transformed our brief into something elegant and practical. Their architectural insight was spot on, and the whole process felt calm, organised, and genuinely collaborative. A proper pleasure to work with.Posted on Google![]()

I wished to make various improvements to my Grade 2 listed house in St Albans shortly after purchase in 2024 and needed help both with the design and with navigating the tricky process of obtaining planning permission. Christine took on my project and was brilliant from start to finish. She came up with great ideas for improving my extension and was very adaptable to my limited budget. I was keen to move things along at a decent pace and Christine was very helpful in drafting everything quickly and more importantly putting together a professional and compelling planning application which passed first time. My thanks to Christine for the excellent service and for helping to greatly improve my house.Posted on Google![]()

We are very happy to give architects, Sheldon Peever Studio, a very positive review. The project was to design a loft conversion in a town house. The aim was to create a fourth-floor lounge with copious natural light and views. At the same time, a staircase had to be designed to fit a very tight space without affecting other rooms in the house. From the outset, communication was excellent. Sheldon Peever listened carefully to us and developed plans how our ideas might be realised. They also navigated the complicated building regulations that come with this type of project. In short, they were very creative, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The result has been extremely successful, and we are delighted with our new room.Posted on Google![]()

We appointed Sheldon Peever as the architect for an Eco Retro-Fit project, to help update our lovely semidetached house in St Albans, built around 1900. We like the house and have lived there for over 30 years, but it was cold and draughty, and we wanted to make it warmer and more comfortable to live in as we grow older. Christine understood what we wanted to achieve and how much we were prepared to spend. She drew up the plans, obtained planning permission, recommended suitable builders, and advised us through all stages of the process, including selecting suitable materials and during the building work itself. She was always punctual, efficient and highly professional, responding promptly to our questions, and with a superb attention to detail. But what we appreciated most was her flexibility, and ability to respond and adapt as the project progressed: as we chose the most ecologically sustainable options wherever possible, but not in a few places where it did not seem appropriate or necessary; when we decided not to go ahead with one or two parts of the project to keep the costs within our budget; or as the builder suggested alternative ways to achieve the same results after the work had started. We would certainly recommend her to anyone considering a similar project.Posted on Google![]()

Exceeded All Expectations for Our Kitchen Extension: Hiring Sheldon Peevers Studio for our recent kitchen extension was the single best decision we made for our home renovation. From our very first consultation through to the final sign-off, their service was absolutely outstanding. What impressed us most was their ability to work so closely with us. They listened intently to every idea, need, and concern we had, ensuring the design felt completely personal and authentic. They brought a vision and expertise that allowed us to achieve something we simply wouldn't have been able to realize on our own—we now have a wonderful, integrated living space that genuinely "feels like us" and far exceeds our expectations. The professional support throughout the project was invaluable. We chose to use them for full project management, which instantly took the stress and pressure off our shoulders. We also want to specifically recognize Alan, whose attention to detail was absolutely fantastic. They were always mindful of our budget, coming up with creative and practical solutions whenever issues arose. Their creative ideas for finishes were inspired, offering options we never would have thought of, but which work beautifully in the final space. We highly recommend Sheldon Peevers Studio for their incredible design talent, meticulous project management, and collaborative spirit.Posted on Google![]()

Christine was amazing from the start of our project. We wanted to do a whole house renovation and she worked with us on the entire project from start to finish. She listened to our wishes, advised according to what was possible, indicated when modifications would need to be made, changed things last minute to suit our wishes and designed items such as hidden doors and media units. She was easy to communicate with, fast with responses and overall a pleasure working with. We would certainly recommend them to anyone needing professional architects.Posted on Google![]()

We bought a 1920s house that was in ok condition but not fit as a modern family home, with a multi-year view to extending. Christine helped us design and execute those extensions, over two phases, to a much more substantial property (roughly doubling the size). Christine’s strengths – alongside strong design and architectural delivery - are in attention to detail and holding contractors and other relevant third parties to account on their work.Posted on Google![]()

Christine was super helpful, knowledgeable and timely when asked for help. She even spoke to the planning team directly on our behalf. Much appreciated.Posted on Google![]()

The job was small - to supply a few scaled drawings for inclusion in an already submitted Conservation area planning application, something which could have been so easily turned away as insignificant. However, Christine dealt with it with speed, efficiency and friendliness, liaising with Planning if necessary. I would certainly use Sheldon Peever Studios again. Thank you for your help. Judy
