An Ecologist is a scientist who studies the relationships between living organisms and their environment. They are involved if there is the presence of newts, bats or any other protected species. With new Biodiversity Net Gain Assessment becoming compulsory for new build developments their involvement in planning application with increase. Their fees range is £1000 +vat upwards.
