Our clients desired to convert their confined living quarters into a spacious, unified area with a more seamless connection to their garden.

To increase the volume of the space, we removed the existing flat ceiling and aligned it with the roofline, while incorporating rooflights to bring in natural light and ventilation.

To create a fluid relationship with the landscaping and offer the sensation of more living space, we installed Kloeber Aluminium sliding folding doors that open up to the garden.

A polished screed floor, resembling a poured resin floor, was laid over the existing concrete floor slab.

The kitchen consists of a combination of ikea kitchen carcasses, white Corian worktop, and superfront cabinet doors and plinth.

The building is situated in a conservation area in Hackney, London.
